Director of Nursing & Clinical ServicesPRIMARY FUNCTIONS
Maintains SBHC database, including all functions for data collection and billing. Collaborates with EHR vendors to capture all required data and optimize billing. Responsible for overseeing grant-funded entities and all required reporting.TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains computerized data collection/billing system for Health Services.
- Monitors EHR usage to maximize Medicaid reimbursements.
- Submits Medicaid claims and monitors and tracks reimbursements.
- Provides technical assistance to staff on billing workflows and reporting processes.
- Prepares clinical and data grant reports.
- Generates productivity reports of clinic staff.
- Provides technical assistance and training to medical, dental, and mental health staff on billing workflows, charting, and reporting processes.
- Attends training to update job skills.
- Performs other related work as needed.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in public health or related field supplemented with technical educational courses and/or vocational training.
- Demonstrated experience in health administration, preparation and management of financial reports including clinical programs.
- Knowledge of Medicaid Managed Care and billing systems desired.
- Knowledge of EHR systems preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain computerized data collection programs.
- Ability to research grant opportunities and produce grant applications related to school-based health centers.
- Able to work an extended day to meet the goals of the department.
