The Role As our Referral Coordinator / Medical Records (Health Information Technician), you'll coordinate insurance referrals and prior authorizations while ensuring medical records remain accurate, organized, and HIPAA-compliant. Your work will help support efficient operations and high-quality patient care. What You'll Do Coordinate insurance referrals and prior authorizations. Process inbound and outbound medical records and release requests. Maintain accurate, complete, and HIPAA-compliant patient records in the EHR. Scan, index, and organize clinical documentation. Review records for completeness and obtain missing documentation as needed. Support audits, reporting, and documentation workflows. Collaborate with providers, staff, and outside organizations to ensure continuity of care. Ideal Candidate, Preferred Experience with medical records, referrals, or prior authorizations. Knowledge of HIPAA, medical terminology, and EHR systems. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office and other healthcare technology. Committed to maintaining patient confidentiality and delivering exceptional service.
