Burrillville, Rhode Island Job Summary:
Overlook Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented MDS Coordinator to join our dynamic team! As an MDS Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our patients' Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments, while providing exceptional support to our healthcare professionals. Responsibilities:
Coordinate the collection and outcome of MDS assessments for all residents, ensuring compliance with Medicare guidelines and regulatory requirements Audit and verify the accuracy of MDS data, making necessary corrections and updates in a timely manner Collaborate with healthcare professionals to obtain necessary information and complete MDS assessments Provide education and support to clinical staff on MDS assessment processes and guidelines Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the accuracy and completeness of MDS assessments Develop and maintain organized systems for tracking and storing MDS documentation
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in MDS coordination or a related field RN License is required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities Familiarity with MDS software and electronic health records (EHRs)
