Job Details Click to go Back to Job Listings Aug 24, 2026, 4:01:41 PM HST Title of Position Manager, Laboratory Work Hours Regular Full-Time (Req# 2026-277) Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with 24-hour on-call status 7-days a week. Periodically extended hours or a modified schedule may be required. Flexible availability is required. Subsidiary Kuakini Medical Center Description of Position Responsible for all aspects of departmental operations including bidgeting, planning, directing and staffing, for the Laboratory Department. Ensures the development and provision of departmental services in accordance with established policies, standrds and regulatory requirements. Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor's degree required, preferably in allied health, physical or biological science. Successful completion of a National Agency on Accreditation for Clinical Laboratory Scientists (NAACLS)- accredited Medical Terminology program, including clinical training in an accredited hospital, required. Clinical training must include chemistry, hematology, microbiology, parasitology, serology, immunology/Blood Bank and Urinalysis. Certification by a reputable national board of registry such as the American Society of Clinical Pathologist is required. Hawaii Clinical Laboratory Technologist and/or Supervisor License is required. Minimum five (5) years experience in a clinical laboratory required. Minimum three (3) years supervisory and administrative experience required. Affiliation with managerial associations desirable; or any combination of education and experience which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform the essential functions of this position.
