Laboratory Pathology Manager (10K sign on BONUS)

Mon- Fri, 8am-4:30pm Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Laboratory Pathology Manager to lead our clinical laboratory operations with energy and precision. This pivotal role involves overseeing laboratory testing processes, ensuring compliance with CLIA regulations, managing a skilled team, and maintaining the highest standards of quality assurance. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for laboratory excellence, extensive knowledge of medical laboratory procedures, and strong leadership skills to drive operational success. Responsibilities Lead and supervise all aspects of laboratory operations, including specimen collection, processing, and testing across various disciplines such as hematology, clinical chemistry, and immunoassays. Ensure adherence to CLIA regulations, laboratory safety protocols, and quality management systems to maintain accreditation standards. Oversee the implementation and maintenance of laboratory information systems (LIS) and document management systems to streamline data collection and reporting. Manage scheduling, workflow optimization, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards. Supervise laboratory staff by providing training on techniques such as
ELISA, PCR, RNA
extraction, DNA isolation, flow cytometry, and other assays; monitor performance and foster professional development. Oversee quality control (QC) procedures, proficiency testing, and validation of laboratory tests to ensure accuracy and reliability of results. Coordinate with clinical teams on specimen collection protocols like venipuncture and blood sampling; ensure proper specimen handling in compliance with safety standards. Maintain detailed documentation for regulatory audits, staff training records, equipment maintenance logs, and compliance reports. Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives in laboratory procedures, instrumentation calibration, and process efficiencies to enhance overall performance. Experience Proven leadership experience in a clinical or research laboratory environment with supervisory responsibilities in a medical laboratory setting. Extensive hands-on experience with laboratory techniques includingELISA, PCR, RNA
extraction, DNA isolation, flow cytometry, immunoassays, and clinical chemistry assays. Strong understanding of CLIA regulations, laboratory compliance management, quality assurance practices, and laboratory information management systems (LIS). Demonstrated ability to manage complex workflows involving specimen collection (venipuncture), blood banking procedures, and analysis skills within a hospital or healthcare setting. Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety. Familiarity with medical terminology related to anatomy and physiology; ability to interpret lab results accurately for clinical decision-making. Knowledge of document management systems for record keeping; adept at schedule management to ensure seamless lab operations.
