A Clinical Laboratory Scientist analyzes samples of body fluids, tissues, and other substances for diagnostic and research purposes within a medical laboratory or healthcare facility. Perform complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests. Looks for bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms, tests for drug levels in the blood to show how a patient is responding to treatment.

6:30 a.m-3:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m.-11:00 p.m., or 10:30 p.m.- 7:00 a.m.

The Medical Technologist accurately and promptly, performs a variety of chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. This role requires adherence to strict quality control procedures, a commitment to patient safety, and collaboration with healthcare professionals to deliver accurate and timely results.
Medical Technologist Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors or equivalent in Laboratory Sciences, including completion of one-year training in an approved school of medical technology and eligible for registration with ASCP required.

Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS by the ASCP) preferred. This is a safety sensitive position. •
Minimum Requirements:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle stressful situations calmly Knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, and medical terminology
Preferred Requirements:
One or more years experience working as a Medical Technologist in a hospital laboratory setting that includes the performance of high complexity testing. Proficiency in using laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic medical records
