CA01 Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will perform a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures to support patient diagnosis, treatment, and research initiatives. Your expertise will ensure the accuracy, reliability, and timely delivery of laboratory results, adhering strictly to regulatory standards and quality protocols. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in clinical chemistry, microbiology, hematology, and immunoassays, with a strong foundation in laboratory management and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct complex laboratory tests including clinical chemistry, microbiology, hematology, immunoassays, PCR, ELISA, flow cytometry, RNA extraction, DNA isolation, and blood banking procedures. Manage laboratory information systems (LIS) to accurately record and track specimen data and test results. Implement laboratory quality control protocols to ensure compliance with CLIA regulations and maintain high standards of accuracy. Perform specimen collection and processing using aseptic techniques and proper venipuncture methods. Analyze data generated from various assays and interpret diagnostic test results for clinical relevance. Operate and maintain medical laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, microscopes, analyzers, and blood sampling devices. Collaborate with clinical teams on research laboratory projects and clinical trials to support experimental design and data collection. Ensure adherence to safety standards including blood-borne pathogen precautions and proper specimen handling. Document procedures meticulously and prepare reports for review by medical professionals. Assist in training new staff members on laboratory techniques and procedures. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field; certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or equivalent required. Proven experience in clinical laboratories with expertise in hematology, microbiology, clinical chemistry testing, and immunoassays. Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures including PCR, ELISA, flow cytometry, RNA extraction, DNA isolation, blood banking techniques, and specimen processing. Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and Laboratory Information Systems (LIS). Understanding of CLIA regulations and implementing laboratory quality control protocols. Proficiency in data management, analysis skills, and diagnostic test interpretation. Excellent knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and laboratory techniques. Experience working within hospital or healthcare settings preferred. Ability to perform venipuncture (phlebotomy) accurately while maintaining aseptic technique. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and record keeping. Effective communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
