Pay:

$32.00 per hour taxable wage plus $1,246 per week non-taxable per diem for eligible travelers who maintain a bona fide tax home away from the worksite.

Approximate weekly pack:

$2,526 on a 40-hour week. Daily and weekly overtime paid.

About the Role Four Winds Staffing is hiring credentialed clinicians and clinical support personnel to deliver ambulatory care services at Fort Yuma Health Care Center (FYHCC), an Indian Health Service (IHS) facility in Winterhaven, California serving a primarily Native American patient population. Provide ambulatory clinical laboratory testing and phlebotomy services in the FYHCC Laboratory Department. You will perform pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic laboratory tasks under CLIA, run quality control, verify and release results, and communicate critical values to the ordering provider. About the Facility Fort Yuma Health Care Center is a multi-specialty ambulatory care facility offering Behavioral Health, Dental, Laboratory, Nutrition, Optometry, Pharmacy, Prescription Refill Line, Physical Therapy, Primary Care, and Public Health Nursing services. FYHCC serves the Cocopah and Quechan tribes. The Quechan Reservation spans 45,814 desert acres along the Colorado River in California's Imperial County, just outside Yuma. The Cocopah Reservation is comprised of 1,772 acres near Somerton, Arizona. Cocopah and Quechan tribal members live a contemporary lifestyle while many still practice traditional ways. Key Responsibilities Collect, label, handle, process, and transport specimens; perform phlebotomy as ordered. Perform pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic tasks within authorized testing complexity and validated competencies, including QC, instrument checks, calibration, and result verification. Document testing activity, results, QC data, critical values, and specimen disposition timely in the LIS and EHR. Promptly communicate critical/panic values, specimen problems, instrument downtime, or QC failures per local escalation protocols. Comply with CLIA requirements, bloodborne pathogen and exposure control standards, and laboratory safety requirements. Participate in competency validation, proficiency testing, and quality review activities. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science, medical technology, or a related laboratory science discipline meeting California licensure requirements. Active, unrestricted California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license, or other California laboratory personnel license/authorization sufficient to perform the ordered testing menu. Minimum 2 years of recent clinical laboratory testing experience in a CLIA-certified laboratory; phlebotomy experience required when included in ordered duties. Current BLS from AHA or American Red Cross approved provider (when required by local policy). Demonstrated ability to document in a LIS/EHR. Ability to obtain and maintain FYHCC security access, competency validation, and any local laboratory authorization requirements. Additional certification/authorization as required for specialized testing, blood bank duties, phlebotomy oversight, or POCT oversight when included. Preferred Qualifications ASCP or AMT certification. Blood bank / transfusion service experience. Prior IHS, tribal, hospital, or federal laboratory experience. Credentialing & Onboarding You will remain a Four Winds Staffing employee or contractor and are not a Government employee. All candidates must complete Federal security clearance, credentialing, and privileging (where applicable) before starting.
