Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties Collect, process, and analyze biological specimens, including blood, tissue, and other bodily fluids, using aseptic techniques and proper specimen-handling protocols Operate and maintain medical laboratory equipment, including PCR machines, flow cytometers, ELISA readers, and centrifuges Perform laboratory tests involving clinical chemistry, microbiology, hematology, immunoassays, RNA extraction, DNA isolation, and blood banking Accurately enter and manage laboratory data using Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) Follow quality-control protocols and CLIA regulations to maintain accuracy and reliability throughout all testing processes Assist with clinical trials by preparing samples, performing assays, interpreting diagnostic tests, and documenting results Monitor inventory levels for reagents and supplies while maintaining compliance with safety standards and facility policies Perform venipuncture and phlebotomy procedures as needed Process specimens through centrifugation, aliquoting, labeling, and preparation for further analysis Collaborate with healthcare professionals and multidisciplinary teams to provide technical laboratory support Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Qualifications Previous experience in a clinical or research laboratory setting Knowledge of laboratory techniques, including PCR, flow cytometry, immunoassays, hematology testing, and microbiology Familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), and medical laboratory equipment Ability to accurately perform specimen collection, venipuncture, blood banking procedures, and diagnostic testing Knowledge of CLIA regulations and laboratory quality-control procedures is highly desirable Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, blood sampling, and clinical chemistry Excellent data-management and recordkeeping skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Previous hospital or healthcare facility experience is preferred Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while following strict safety and aseptic procedures Dependable, professional, and able to work both independently and as part of a team Benefits Competitive pay Flexible scheduling Supportive and collaborative work environment Opportunities for professional growth Paid training and continuing education opportunities, if applicable Apply Today Join us in advancing healthcare through innovative laboratory science.
