Daily hours may vary depending on assignments; the work schedule may be modified subject to operational needs of the department; Occasional, overtime may be required. Subsidiary Kuakini Medical Center Description of Position Performs a variety of pulmonary sleep testing, studies and diagnostic procedures. Responsible to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorder including in center and home sleep apnea testing diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, equipment operation and maintenance; data collection, analysis and reporting; comprehensive patient care, instructs and monitors patients, including patient monitoring, study acquisition, computer processing of patient information, and equipment quality control Qualifications and Requirements High school diploma, or equivalent, required. Requires graduation from a Respiratory Therapy or Sleep Technologist program accredited by Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). Requires Certification by a nationally recognized certification board and holds either the Registered Sleep Technologist (RST), Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), or Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) credential required. Basic Life Support (BLS), certification required, with retraining once every two years.
