Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract Take on a vital role in a dynamic laboratory setting, applying your expertise as a Medical Technologist. This 13-week contract is an excellent opportunity to advance your skills in a collaborative environment focused on high-quality patient care.
Schedule/Hours:
Shift options: 7:00 AM-3:30 PM or 12:00 PM-8:30 PM 40 hours per week Every other weekend required No floating between departments
Key Qualifications:
Certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP required) Demonstrated proficiency in laboratory workflows, procedures, and instrumentation Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow complex protocols Strong problem-solving skills and capability to work independently as well as part of a team Effective communication skills for collaboration with clinicians and laboratory staff
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform analysis on specimens using a variety of clinical laboratory instruments and methodologies Document and report test results accurately, maintaining strict adherence to quality standards Monitor, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance Participate in quality assurance and process improvement initiatives within the laboratory Uphold laboratory safety standards and infection control procedures Communicate findings clearly and promptly to healthcare providers
