Medical Laboratory Technician Location:

3 × 12-hour shifts Pay rate: $50/hr Job Description The ideal candidate should be experienced in laboratory procedures, phlebotomy, blood bank testing, and specimen processing. Candidates must be comfortable working independently in a hospital laboratory and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Perform laboratory testing accurately and efficiently. Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection. Perform Blood Bank testing and related laboratory procedures. Perform microbiology testing, including gram stains, culture planting, and blood cultures. Follow

protocols, including proper PPE use and isolation procedures. Prioritize and manage multiple laboratory tasks effectively. Work independently when required. Maintain accurate documentation and follow hospital and laboratory procedures. Communicate professionally with laboratory staff, nurses, providers, and other healthcare professionals. Work rotating weekends, typically every 5th weekend. Work holidays as needed on a rotating basis. Cover Thursday night shifts as required and assist with open shifts when needed. Requirements Graduate of an approved MT or MLT program. Proficiency in phlebotomy. Experience with Blood Bank testing required. Microbiology experience preferred. Experience with gram stains, culture planting, and blood cultures required if not experienced in full microbiology. Ability to work independently and make appropriate decisions. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a busy hospital setting. Familiarity with

Pay:

$48.00 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 36.0 per week
