A Clinical Laboratory Scientist analyzes samples of body fluids, tissues, and other substances for diagnostic and research purposes within a medical laboratory or healthcare facility. Perform complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests. Looks for bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms, tests for drug levels in the blood to show how a patient is responding to treatment.

Perform tests in chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, coag, serology, blood bank and limited microbiology. Assist with phlebotomy and specimen processing. Required Knowledge:
General laboratory knowledge, including the use of computers; knowledge of QA and QC as well as knowledge of all areas of the laboratory.
Required Experience:
A.A.S, Medical laboratory technology; BS Medical technology
Special Requirements:
Ability to maintain a professional, courteous and pleasant attitude in times of heavy workload and stress. Teamwork with fellow employees is a must. Keyboard skills are important as is multitasking. May be required to work overtime or other shifts or days as needed. Weekend rotation and holiday coverage required.
