Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Technology, or related science required. Current national certification (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent) as a Medical Technologist (MT/MLS) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT). Prior laboratory experience in clinical or hospital environments. Strong understanding of laboratory instruments, procedures, and safety protocols. Skilled in specimen processing, analysis, and result interpretation. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Proficient communication and teamwork skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct a full range of tests in areas such as hematology, chemistry, immunology, microbiology, and blood bank. Verify sample identification and ensure specimen integrity. Calibrate, operate, and maintain laboratory equipment according to protocols. Document and report all test results accurately and promptly. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide timely lab information. Adhere to quality assurance and regulatory standards (CLIA, CAP, or equivalent). Maintain accurate records, logs, and patient data. Troubleshoot technical problems and initiate corrective actions as needed.
