A Clinical Laboratory Scientist analyzes samples of body fluids, tissues, and other substances for diagnostic and research purposes within a medical laboratory or healthcare facility. Perform complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests. Looks for bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms, tests for drug levels in the blood to show how a patient is responding to treatment.

Job Description

Summit Medical Group's Central Laboratory is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our Laboratory Team! This is a full-time day shift 40-hour per week opportunity. The selected applicant can pick from working five (8 hour)shifts/week or four (10 hour) shifts/week.
NO WEEKENDS OR HOLIDAYS!
! Frequent four-day weekends scheduled off (off Friday through Monday)! Excellent Salary and Benefits package, including health, dental and vision insurance; long- and short-term disability insurance and life insurance; vacation and sick time, 401k with a generous company match, safe-harbor contribution, and profit sharing, PLUS more! We have a new laboratory which opened in the summer of 2023 with many new lab instruments.
EDUCATION
Associate or bachelor's degree in medical technology or a related science preferred.
EXPERIENCE
1 year of clinical laboratory experience preferred but not required.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE
Tennessee Medical Technologist General license preferred. ASCP certification required."
