Responsibilities Conduct clinical chemistry, microbiology, hematology, immunoassays, and other diagnostic tests with precision and adherence to protocols. Perform specimen collection and processing, including venipuncture, blood sampling, and blood banking procedures. Operate and maintain medical laboratory equipment such as PCR machines, flow cytometers, ELISA readers, and other diagnostic instruments. Manage laboratory information systems (LIS) for accurate data entry, tracking samples, and reporting results efficiently. Implement laboratory quality control protocols to ensure compliance with CLIA regulations and uphold high standards of accuracy. Analyze data from laboratory tests using appropriate techniques and interpret results for clinical relevance. Maintain detailed records of laboratory activities, including assay performance, calibration logs, and specimen tracking. Skills Extensive experience with laboratory management systems (LIS) and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). Proficiency in performing immunoassays such as ELISA and understanding of molecular techniques including PCR and RNA extraction. Strong knowledge of blood banking procedures, phlebotomy techniques, and specimen collection/processing methods. Familiarity with clinical chemistry testing, microbiology testing, hematology procedures, and diagnostic test interpretation. Ability to operate medical laboratory equipment safely and effectively while adhering to aseptic techniques. Knowledge of CLIA regulations, laboratory quality control standards, and implementing quality assurance protocols. Excellent data analysis skills combined with a solid understanding of medical terminology and physiology relevant to laboratory testing. Experience working within hospital or clinical research laboratories with a focus on blood sampling, cytotechnology, or microbiology is highly desirable.
