Mission Vista is seeking attentive and trustworthy people to join our staff in providing excellent care for our clients. The Vocational Specialist position is responsible for assisting individuals with developmental disabilities to obtain and maintain successful employment in the community through Individual Employment Services and to obtain integration in the community through Community Inclusion Services. Primary functions of the job are job searching, job development, and job coaching and maintaining consistent professional contact with local employers. Community Inclusion functions include assisting with community activities and volunteer positions. Completing and maintaining required documentation are also key functions of the position. Maintain consistent, professional communication with client supervisors as a means of supporting clients. Assist Community Inclusion clients in identifying personal interests and favorite activities.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years' Experience caring for others in a registered and/or medical facility preferred

• Driver's License with

Transportation :

Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation.

Computer Skills :

Proficiency in basic computer skills is required.

High School Diploma :

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent.
