$21.00 - $23.00 per hour Reports to: Civic Engagement Program Director Organizational Summary Our mission is to provide education and resources to advocate for worker rights, increase socioeconomic and health equity and civic participation of our under-served and overlooked communities of the Central Valley. We've created a strategic plan to empower and educate our communities about important issues such as voting, the US Census, redistricting, and other concerns. Valley Voices aims to help make our communities healthy, safe, happy and equitable. At Valley Voices, we were founded on a mission rooted in civic engagement. We know that our communities in Kings County need to speak out and be counted in the decisions that impact their lives. Today, we continue that mission as we build community by engaging with our neighbors as voters and leaders.

POSITION SUMMARY

Community Organizers will contact voters across Kings County through both door knocking (canvassing) and

IN-PERSON

phone banking in support of electoral strategies that expand and protect access to voting in our local communities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Contact voters through canvassing and phone banking. Reach daily and weekly benchmark goals for the number of voters contacted and supporters identified. Ensure all data is submitted in a timely fashion and submit daily reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to work evenings and weekends Must attend a mandatory orientation and training on specified date TBD. Must phone bank on the correct date, time and location during designated times. Must be able to use a cellphone, laptop, zoom, web browser and canvassing application. Must follow a script and provide accurate information to voters. Must have strong verbal communication skills as well as ability to connect with diverse people, always maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude. Strong commitment to social justice .

PREFERRED

Having your own transportation is preferred. Bilingual in Spanish and English.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This is a temporary position $21-$23/hour October 1, 2026 - November 4, 2026 (approx.) 4-hour shifts
