The coordinator will facilitate the recruitment and promotion efforts, conduct workshops, provide individual advising and assist in program development and administration. As a staff member in a multi-function unit, the position may include additional responsibilities as assigned to meet the needs of USC's academically talented students and to support the academic mission of the University. - Excellent written and oral communication skills, exercise good judgment and discretion, and be able to work courteously with diverse groups
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and maintain confidentiality
- Strong computer skills, research skills, presentation skills, good problem solving skills, and the ability to use the internet and social media
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret information accurately are critical
- The ability to take direction, initiate action, and work as a team member is essential. Preferred Qualifications
- Prior advising with post-secondary high ability students
- Working knowledge of national fellowship competitions
- Familiarity with STEM disciplines.
