Job Overview Our office is seeking a friendly Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our busy dental office team. This vital role combines front desk responsibilities with administrative support, ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional patient service. The ideal candidate would be energetic, detail-oriented, and possess strong computer skills, with a passion for creating a welcoming environment for patients and staff alike. Your efforts will directly contribute to delivering high-quality dental care and maintaining efficient office workflows. Duties Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and providing excellent customer service. Manage multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries, schedule appointments, and handle patient check-ins and check-outs with professionalism. Maintain accurate patient records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks, ensuring compliance with HIPAA confidentiality policies. Verify insurance coverage, process medical billing and collections, including Medicare and health insurance claims, utilizing knowledge of medical coding such as
CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10
codes. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, including care plans and clinical notes, supporting seamless billing and recordkeeping processes. Perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10-key typing), appointment scheduling, and managing electronic health records (EHR) management systems like Athenahealth or Meditech. Assist with clinical administrative support tasks such as patient intake procedures, medical records management, and ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations. Qualifications Proven experience in a medical or dental office environment with strong familiarity in medical administrative support and front desk duties. Knowledge of health insurance processes and understanding of HIPAA compliance requirements. Strong computer skills and familiarity with office equipment like multi-line phones and texting confirmations. Excellent communication skills with the ability to demonstrate phone etiquette and provide outstanding patient service. Pay:
$16.00 - $25.00 per hour
