Hours are Monday-Thursday 8-4 Duties Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for procedures. Assist dentists during a variety of treatments including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and confidence. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners while adhering to safety protocols. Manage patient records efficiently using electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Dentrix , ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining a sterile environment through aseptic techniques. Support the dental reception process by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and managing patient flow to optimize clinic operations. Maintain infection control standards by following strict sterilization procedures and infection prevention protocols across all clinical activities. Educate patients on dental terminology, post-treatment care, and preventive practices to enhance their understanding and comfort. Qualifications Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix and scanning with Itero and 3shape Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety standards. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages and team members including dental receptionists. Certifications in dental assisting are required.
