Job Description
Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) - Orthodontic Office Apple Valley Orthodontics is looking for an energetic, dependable, and patient-focused Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our team! We are a busy, team-oriented orthodontic office that takes pride in providing excellent patient care while creating a positive and welcoming experience for our patients and families. What We're Looking For Our ideal RDA is someone who: Has a positive, professional attitude Is reliable and punctual Works well in a fast-paced environment Is comfortable working independently while also being a strong team player Communicates warmly and professionally with patients, parents, doctors, and coworkers Can take direction and accepts coaching and feedback well Pays close attention to detail and doctor instructions Takes initiative and anticipates what is needed next Understands the importance of both efficiency and quality patient care Responsibilities Assist the orthodontist with chairside procedure Prepare patients, chairs, and materials for appointments Place and remove orthodontic wires, ties, and appliances within RDA scope Assist with bonding, debonding, repairs, and other orthodontic procedures Take quality digital records, photographs, X-rays, and scans as needed Maintain accurate and complete patient chart notes Provide oral hygiene and appliance-care instructions to patients Communicate appointment information and treatment updates clearly to patients and parents Maintain proper infection control and OSHA standards Keep operatories clean, stocked, and ready for the next patient Help sterilization, records, and other clinical areas when needed Work together with the clinical team to keep the schedule running efficiently and on time Qualifications Current California RDA license Current CPR/BLS certification Required California certifications for applicable RDA duties Orthodontic experience is preferred Strong communication and customer-service skills Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy clinical environment What We Value At Apple Valley Orthodontics, we want team members who genuinely care about their patients and coworkers.
