Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in clinical assisting, patient management, and dental procedures, with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support our growing practice while ensuring smooth daily operations and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and arranging dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) accurately while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes. Provide patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits. Maintain dental equipment including 3D scanners, dental x-ray machines, and other clinical tools, ensuring proper functioning and sterilization. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed. Follow infection control protocols diligently to prevent cross-contamination and ensure aseptic technique during all clinical activities. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures is required. Proficiency with EMR systems like Open Dental is highly desirable. Demonstrated understanding of dental terminology, documentation, and medical imaging techniques. Knowledge of infection prevention management practices, dental sterilization procedures, and healthcare infection control standards is essential. Certification in X-ray technology or radiography is required to perform dental x-ray procedures. $25.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 32.0 per week
