Responsibilities Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures, including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, processing dental equipment, and setting up necessary supplies in accordance with infection prevention management policies Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans using advanced medical imaging technology while adhering to dental x-ray safety protocols Manage patient records accurately using patient management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Support patient care by taking vital signs, reviewing medical history, and providing pre- and post-treatment instructions with professionalism and empathy Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by following dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques to prevent infection transmission Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient scheduling, patient management, and effective communication between staff and patients Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic role; experience with dental assisting in pediatric or general dentistry is preferred Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for managing medical records and documentation Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, dental equipment operation, and infection control standards Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while maintaining radiation safety standards Familiarity with dental instrument processing, sterilization techniques, and infection prevention management practices Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and oral surgery procedures Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team Certification in Dental Assisting (such as CDA or equivalent) is highly desirable; additional certifications in Pediatric Dentistry or Oral Surgery are a plus Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through compassionate care and technical excellence.
