Key Qualifications & Experience Desired:

Experience as a Paraprofessional, Behavior Specialist, or similar support role in school settings Familiarity with academic support, behavior intervention, and individualized support strategies Ability to work effectively with students with diverse learning and behavioral needs Strong communication skills, working well with educators, students, and families Patience, empathy, and a supportive attitude that fosters a positive classroom environment

Core Responsibilities:

Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities and daily classroom routines Support the implementation of behavioral intervention plans under the direction of specialists Provide one-on-one or small group academic and behavioral support Encourage student engagement and facilitate positive interactions Document student progress and communicate observations to teacher and staff teams Adapt support based on student Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and 504
