We are looking for an Orthodontic Dental Assistant who is energetic, personable, detail-oriented, and enjoys working with patients of all ages. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a fast-paced orthodontic environment and takes pride in providing excellent clinical care and a positive patient experience. Responsibilities Assist the orthodontist with patient care and clinical procedures Prepare patients and treatment rooms for orthodontic appointments Take orthodontic photographs, X-rays, and diagnostic records as permitted Assist with placing and removing orthodontic appliances Assist with brackets, wires, bands, elastics, and other orthodontic procedures Provide chairside assistance during orthodontic treatment Provide patients with clear instructions regarding oral hygiene and appliance care Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, and orthodontic care Prepare and sterilize instruments Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked clinical environment Follow OSHA, infection-control, and office safety protocols Document treatment accurately in patient records Communicate professionally with patients and parents Help maintain an efficient patient flow and positive office environment Work closely with the orthodontist and entire team to provide exceptional patient care Qualifications Previous dental assisting experience required Orthodontic assisting experience preferred Knowledge of orthodontic terminology and procedures Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Friendly, confident, and comfortable working with children, teens, and adults Strong attention to detail Dependable, professional, and team-oriented Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment Experience with Dentrix Ascend or other dental practice management software preferred What We Offer Competitive compensation Benefits Paid time off Supportive and collaborative team environment Modern orthodontic practice Opportunities for professional growth and advancement No weekends If you're passionate about orthodontics, enjoy working with patients, and want to be part of a positive and supportive team, we'd love to meet you.
