  • Support the success of the doctor and the office in efforts to deliver quality dental care to infants, children, adolescence and children with special needs
  • Perform a variety of patient care duties to include front and back office
  • Perform 4 handed pediatric dentistry professionally
  • Be knowledgable of pediatric dental procedues and required patience
  • Actively participate in the patient experience by striving to keep patients and their caregivers focused on the diagnosed and needed treatment while attending to their unique individual needs and concerns.
  • Take radiographs of children using standard dental radiographic equipment
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment: Clean each operatory following each patient procedure and in accordance with the state applicable infection control guidelines.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance
  • Perform functions in accordance with the applicable state's Dental Auxiliaries Table of Permitted Duties
  • Help maintain clean, sterile, cheerful and inviting environment
  • Knowledgable in Dentrix software
  • Instruct patients and/or caregivers on postoperative care and strategies for improving oral health care as directed by dentist, delivering information at a level of communication, appropriate for the individual patient
  • Answering and returning phone calls; to include scheduling, confirming appointments and post op checks
  • Order and organize supplies
  • Keep up a professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with applicable policies.
