Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary equipment, and ensuring all supplies are stocked and ready for procedures Assist dentists during various treatments including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging technology while adhering to infection prevention management and aseptic techniques Manage patient records accurately within electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and preventive measures to promote long-term dental health Monitor vital signs and assist in patient management to ensure comfort and safety throughout visits Maintain strict infection control standards by following dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention protocols Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred, especially with pediatric dentistry or general dentistry practices Proficiency with dental software such as Open Dental for scheduling, documentation, and patient management Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and dental equipment operation is essential Hands-on experience with dental X-ray techniques, oral surgery assistance, endodontics procedures, and prosthodontics is advantageous Familiarity with medical documentation standards and medical records management ensures accuracy in patient files Demonstrated ability to follow infection control protocols diligently while supporting clinical confidentiality policies Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members including dental receptionists and healthcare professional Must have BLS cert Radiology certificate Osha requirements fulfilled Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to delivering outstanding patient care through professionalism, technical expertise, and a warm approach.
