The ideal candidate will have strong dental knowledge, the ability to work independently, and thrive as a self-driven team player. This role involves direct patient interaction, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring smooth office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist with various tasks, including cleaning, stocking, and sterilizing dental equipment and supplies. Adhere to the office's policies, procedures, and safety protocols. Provide excellent patient care and communicate effectively with patients in a professional and compassionate manner. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor patient comfort and safety during dental procedures.
Qualifications:
Valid Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification. Proficiency in chairside assisting, dental terminology, and general dentistry practices. Experience with 3D scanning technology and other dental procedures. Strong understanding of aseptic techniques, anatomy, and infection control. Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix and Eaglesoft. In-depth knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality. Skills in pediatric dentistry and four-handed dentistry techniques. Experience in performing X-rays and monitoring vital signs.
