This energetic position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing your clinical skills and technical knowledge to assist with a variety of dental procedures. You will be the backbone of our dental practice, ensuring smooth operations, maintaining high standards of infection control, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for patients of all ages. Your expertise in dental assisting, medical documentation, and patient communication will help us provide top-quality dental care every day. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly. Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging technology such as 3D scanners and other medical imaging tools while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes. Provide chairside assistance with aseptic technique and infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment. Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and answer their questions with professionalism and empathy. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and acting as a dental receptionist to ensure seamless patient flow. Qualifications Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology and procedures. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with Epic or similar medical documentation platforms is a plus. Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining patient safety standards. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of medical records and patient information. Experience assisting with pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry procedures preferred. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages and team members including dental receptionists.
