Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Assistant/Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our vibrant dental team. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and professionalism. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary equipment, and ensuring all tools are ready for patient care. Take and develop dental x-rays using digital imaging systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or other patient management software while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records accurately within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, ensuring compliance with clinical confidentiality policies. Perform chairside assisting duties including taking vital signs, explaining procedures to patients, and providing post-treatment instructions. Maintain infection control standards through proper dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and assisting the dental receptionist as needed to optimize clinic efficiency. Requirements Valid Dental Assistant certification or RDA license with current registration in good standing. Proven experience in general dentistry with additional familiarity in pediatric dentistry preferred. Proficiency in dental software platforms such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar EMR systems; experience with patient management software is a plus. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health. Skilled in dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, and infection prevention management aligned with healthcare standards. Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures accurately while maintaining safety protocols for patients and staff. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and support their comfort throughout treatment. Knowledge of dental equipment operation including 3D scanners and other advanced imaging tools is advantageous.
