Our small, specialty office offers a calm, supportive environment with a collaborative team, low staff turnover, and no pressure to upsell treatment. We're seeking a detail-oriented Dental Assistant with a positive attitude, who values excellent patient care, and enjoys being part of a stable work environment. Experience with root canals is a plus, but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate. This position is currently about 32 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, with no evenings or weekends. As the practice grows, we may choose to add Friday office hours in the future.

Responsibilities Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during examinations and procedures Take good quality digital radiographs and CBCT scans Accurately document patient information and treatment notes in the electronic health record Provide patient education on pre- and post-procedure care. Create a calm, comfortable experience for patients Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to OSHA standards. Ensure operatory cleanliness and readiness for each patient. Monitor inventory and order supplies Collaborate with dental and front office staff to ensure smooth patient flow. Collaborate with team members to assist during down time. Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience as a chairside assistant in a dental office. Certified to take x-rays Current BLS certification Current California RDA license and willingness to maintain active licensure Completion of an 8 hour board-approved infection control course Ability to write clear and accurate patient documentation Knowledge of dental terminology and infection control protocols Proficiency with dental software and equipment Professional appearance, including neat grooming, good personal hygiene, and clean, appropriate scrubs and footwear Reliable attendance Effective interpersonal skills for patient interaction. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a clinical setting Ability to sit and stand for extended periods. Manual dexterity for handling dental instruments.. Final candidates will be required to pass a background check and participate in a paid working interview. They must also provide documentation for required certifications and documents to complete the Form I-9, which verifies eligibility to work in the United States.
Pay:
$35.00 - $38.00 per hour
