Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient front office operation while providing exceptional customer service to our patients. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for the dental field.
Duties Patient Communication :
Any interaction with patient will be documented into eaglesoft (and chart if possible) Confirm patient appointments via phone calls or texts. Answering or transferring all calls Scheduling and appointments: Manage Schedule to multiple dentists to ensure procedures have enough time and are appropriately given the correct time slot. Handling scheduling, canceling, and rescheduling patient appointments Sending/calling for appointment reminders Patient Record Management Maintaining patient charts and records both physical/Eaglesoft Updating records with new information and treatment plans Ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of patient data Filing and scanning documents/charts Financial and Administrative tasks: Verify insurance eligibility (Medi-Cal, PPO and some HMO) eventually learn to enter treatment plans Possibility of handling payments: collections receipts saved into eaglesoft/written into chart; use of terminal If no knowledge of CareCredit and Sunbit, then we will provide training Using windows and excel sheets Examples of other duties : Ensuring reception area is clean Acting liaison between patients and clinical staff May be requested to assist with clinical tasks as DA Get mail and managing correspondence accordingly Requirements Use of Eaglesoft dental software Recently worked 3 years in dental setting (Able to use dental terminology) Manage multiple tasks and be able to arrange priority to each one. Manage patient schedule Patient communication skills: greeting customers, answering multiple phone lines, inputting messages into files/eaglesoft Be able to switch between two phone lines and juggle both at same time Being clear, concise, stern and polite when speaking to patients Knowing when to move the phone call or in person chat to the manager Financial and Administrative Skill like insurance verification for PPO, Medi-Cal Time management, responsible, organized Join our team and contribute to creating a positive experience for our patients while supporting their dental health journey!
Pay:
$24.00 - $25.00 per hour
