Job Description

Dental Assistant Duties:
  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures
  • Take and develop dental x-rays
  • Perform dental charting and record patient information in Dentrix or Eaglesoft
  • Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
  • Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized dental office environment
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines for patient privacy and confidentiality
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited dental assistant program
  • Current CPR certification
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices
  • Proficiency in using Dentrix or Eaglesoft for patient documentation
  • Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control protocols
  • Experience with medical imaging techniques, including taking and developing dental x-rays
  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively interact with patients of all ages
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
