Position Summary:
As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the dentist and ensuring delivery of high-quality. Compassionate care for all patients. You will be responsible for assisting during clinical procedures, preparing the treatment area, and working collaboratively with the care team to coordinate services that help patients follow through with recommended treatment plans.Primary Responsibilities:
Assisting the dentist during treatment Assist the dentist in documentation during patient visits Taking dental X-Rays Ensuring patient has fully completed medical history forms, dental questionnaires, and required office consents for treatment Following infection control protocol and sterilizing instruments/equipment Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgeries or other dental procedures Prep and clean operatories Follow-up on patient lab cases prior to patient appointmentsSecondary Responsibilities:
Schedule patient appointments Review treatment plans with patients Provide information to patients and employees by answering questions or requestsQualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a dental assisting role (general, pediatric, or specialty); prior leadership or mentoring experience in a clinical setting Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credential or state-specific certification (RDA, EFDA, etc.) Proficiency with dental software systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, or Epic Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills A commitment to providing patient-centered care that integrates oral health with overall health and well-being Strong ethical grounding in patient care and confidentiality A proactive attitude and willingness to participate actively in continual improvement of the clinic's operationsJob Type:
