Dental Assistant/Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) Pomerado Family Dental Poway, CA Job Details Full-time $30 - $34 an hour 2 days ago Benefits Paid training 401(k) Paid time off On-the-job training Qualifications Customer communication Computer literacy X-Ray Certification Full Job Description We are looking for a friendly, efficient and competent dental assistant who will make the dentist's office more efficient and pleasant for patients. You'll ensure excellent customer service and lift administrative and basic dental tasks off the dentist's shoulders. Dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible. Responsibilities Welcome patients in the dental office Prepare patients for treatment or checkups ensuring their comfort Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed Sterilization and maintainance of instruments and equipment Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry including dental implant procedures Able to use perform digital scans using ITERO. Undertake lab tasks as instructed, including fabrication of bleaching trays, 3D printed models, surgical implant guides and CEREC crowns Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked. Maintain inventory of supplies. Schedule appointments on Open dental software and enter treatment notes. Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures Skills Proven recent experience as a RDA or dental assistant. Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods per OSHA Understanding of health & safety regulations. Knowledge of taking digital radiographs and digital pano/ 3D CBCT Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing and crown temporaries is a plus Good computer skills Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred Additional training is an asset, especially knowledge of CEREC, implant procedures and 3DCBCT.
