Job Description

Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) Position Overview Del Lago Dental is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant who is committed to providing exceptional patient care and supporting high-quality dentistry. As an integral member of our clinical team, you will assist the doctor during a wide range of restorative and preventive procedures, ensure efficient clinical operations, and help every patient feel informed, comfortable, and well cared for. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms for scheduled procedures by sterilizing instruments, setting up equipment, and ensuring all necessary materials are available. Provide chairside assistance during restorative, cosmetic, and preventive procedures, including composite restorations, crowns, bridges, veneers, Invisalign treatment, and other general dental procedures. Take high-quality digital radiographs, panoramic images, iTero digital scans, and traditional impressions as needed. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records using Dentrix while ensuring compliance with HIPAA requirements. Review medical histories and assist in monitoring patient health information throughout treatment. Educate patients on oral hygiene, home care instructions, and post-operative expectations to support long-term oral health. Follow established infection prevention and sterilization protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment. Maintain and monitor dental equipment, including digital radiography systems and intraoral scanners. Work collaboratively with the administrative team to support an efficient patient schedule and seamless patient experience. Contribute to a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment. Qualifications Current California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in good standing. Previous experience in a general dentistry practice is required. Strong clinical assisting skills and knowledge of dental procedures, materials, and instrumentation. Experience with Dentrix practice management software, Dexis imaging, and the iTero digital scanner. Current Dental Radiography certification and proficiency in taking diagnostic radiographs. Thorough understanding of infection control standards and sterilization protocols. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently. Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
