The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Dentrix, is highly desirable. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulations. Manage patient records and medical documentation in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Monitor vital signs and assist in medical imaging as required. Utilize 3D scanners for imaging when necessary. Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing dental reception duties as needed. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting is preferred. Familiarity with DentriX. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology is essential. Excellent communication skills with a patient-centered approach to care. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in both clinical and administrative tasks. Certification in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is essential.
