Job Description

Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management protocols Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar software Collect vital signs and medical history information to ensure patient safety and compliance with clinical confidentiality policies Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions to promote ongoing dental hygiene Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment by following infection control standards and dental sterilization procedures Skills Proficiency with dental assisting tasks including chairside assisting, dental instrument processing, and four-handed dentistry techniques Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical confidentiality policies Experience with dental equipment such as X-ray machines, intraoral cameras, 3D scanners, and other diagnostic tools Familiarity with healthcare infection prevention and control expertise including aseptic technique and infection control protocols Ability to operate patient management software like Dentrix or similar EMR systems effectively Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience working with pediatric patients is a plus Excellent communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with team members including dental receptionists and healthcare professionals This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to advance their career in general dentistry or specialized fields such as oral surgery or endodontics.
