Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a Dental Assistant, you will support dentists during procedures, ensure clinical efficiency, and uphold the highest standards of infection control and patient confidentiality. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all dental equipment is functioning properly according to infection prevention management protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques. Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide patient care by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and ensuring patient comfort throughout appointments. Process dental instruments efficiently and maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment. Support front desk operations by assisting with patient management software as needed for scheduling and administrative tasks. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting with knowledge of general dentistry practices. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with patient management software is preferred. Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical documentation, and medical records management. Knowledge of dental x-ray techniques, oral surgery assistance, and infection control protocols including sterilization procedures. Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency during procedures. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and working with pediatric patients is advantageous. Excellent communication skills combined with attention to detail and adherence to clinical confidentiality policies.
