Our work environment includes:
Modern office setting private practice with no HMO no Dentical patients.
Duties:
  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures
  • Take and develop dental x-rays
  • Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
  • Provide oral hygiene instructions to patients
  • Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records using electronic medical record systems (e.g., Epic)
  • Assist with medical coding and billing processes
  • Provide support to dentists in pediatric dental procedures
  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software for creating dental restorations
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assisting program preferred
  • X-ray certification required
  • Experience working in a dental office or clinic preferred
  • Knowledge of medical coding and billing processes
  • Familiarity with pediatric dental procedures and techniques
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems, such as Epic, for managing patient records and documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, dentists, and other team members
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
