The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Dentrix is highly desirable. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilizing instruments and ensuring compliance with infection control protocols. Take dental X-rays while adhering to safety standards and HIPAA regulations. Record patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information in electronic dental records (EDR). Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care instructions. Manage dental clinic operations, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and performing administrative tasks as needed. Utilize 3D scanners for imaging when necessary and assist in various dental specialties including general dentistry, pediatrics, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Experience Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred. Familiarity with dental software Dentrix is advantageous. Knowledge of dental terminology, and aseptic techniques is essential. Experience with orthodontic dentistry is a plus, along with proficiency in chairside assisting and dental documentation practices.
