Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a proactive individual who is passionate about dentistry and committed to maintaining a clean and efficient work environment. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs as needed, utilizing 3D scanners when applicable. Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medical coding for patient documentation. Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently, including acting as a dental receptionist when required. Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft for patient management and record keeping. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions. Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with knowledge of general dentistry practices. Familiarity with infection control standards and procedures is essential. Proficiency in using dental software systems (Dentrix or Eaglesoft) is highly desirable. Experience with 3D scanning technology is a plus. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, particularly in pediatrics. Ability to work well within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
