Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly enhance patient care and clinical efficiency. In this vital role, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient interactions, and ensure the smooth operation of our dental practice. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for patients while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all supplies are ready for patient appointments Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans using advanced medical imaging technology while adhering to infection prevention management protocols Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to improve procedure efficiency and patient comfort Monitor vital signs and assist with patient management before, during, and after treatments Maintain strict infection control standards through proper dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred, especially with pediatric dentistry or oral surgery cases Proficiency in dental terminology, medical documentation, and medical records management is essential Familiarity with dental equipment including X-ray machines, digital scanners (such as 3D scanners), and patient management software like Dentrix or Eaglesoft Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control policies to ensure a safe clinical environment Strong understanding of dental assisting procedures such as instrument processing, dental sterilization procedures, and infection control practices Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics, demonstrating excellent patient care skills Certification in dental assisting or related training programs is advantageous but not mandatory; ongoing professional development is encouraged Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a tangible difference in patients' lives!
