Job Description
Busy Periodontial office looking for an outstanding dental assistant. Must have years of experience, strong work ethic and the willingness to take on any task.
Duties:
- Assist the doctor during dental surgical procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments, equipment and operatories
- Take digital dental x-rays
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform dental charting and documentation in electronic health record
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems
- Expert knowledge of dental terminology, procedures and instruments
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Compassionate and caring demeanor towards patients
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
