Orthodontic Assistant Darien Orthodontics | Darien, CT Part time

• In person $24 to $35 per hour, depending on experience Darien Orthodontics is a family owned practice providing braces and clear aligner treatment for children, teens, and adults. We're looking for a dependable orthodontic assistant who takes pride in careful work and helps patients feel comfortable. You'll work directly with Dr. Dan and a small team at one location. Responsibilities Assist during braces, clear aligner, and appliance appointments. Prepare treatment areas, instruments, and materials. Obtain photographs, digital scans, and radiographs within your qualifications and permitted duties. Sterilize instruments and follow infection control procedures. Reinforce instructions for oral hygiene, aligners, retainers, and appliances. Document visits accurately and help maintain supplies. Required credentials for this position Official documentation of passing the DANB Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) exam , or a Connecticut accepted equivalent. Official documentation of passing the DANB Infection Control (ICE) exam , or a Connecticut accepted equivalent. Current CPR/BLS certification. Full DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Certified Orthodontic Assistant (COA) certification is preferred but not required. Experience and skills Previous dental assisting experience, with orthodontic experience strongly preferred. Applicants should be dependable, detail oriented, and comfortable working with patients of all ages. Schedule Part time, usually Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Shifts are:

12:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. 7:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Workdays may vary, and additional days may become available as we expand our schedule. Apply through Indeed with your resume, relevant credentials, and the days and shifts you are available.
