THE OPPORTUNITY
At City Dental Studio, we believe exceptional patient care starts with exceptional people. We are a privately owned, modern dental practice in Cooper City built around comprehensive dentistry, advanced technology, beautiful outcomes, and an elevated patient experience. We're looking for an experienced Dental Assistant who wants more from their career —more responsibility, more opportunity to learn, higher standards, and the ability to be recognized for the value they bring to a practice. We believe great employees deserve great compensation, meaningful opportunities to grow, clear expectations, and a workplace they can be proud of. In return, we look for people who bring something equally valuable to us: skill, ownership, initiative, reliability, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to be excellent. This is an opportunity for someone who doesn't simply want another dental assisting job. It's for someone who wants to become exceptionally good at what they do.
THE ROLE
As a Dental Assistant at City Dental Studio, you are an important part of both the clinical team and the patient experience. You're not simply there to pass instruments. You help create an environment where the doctor can perform at a high level, patients feel genuinely cared for, the clinical day runs efficiently, and the team can depend on one another. That means thinking ahead. It means knowing your patients and procedures. It means having the room ready before it's needed, anticipating what comes next during treatment, noticing when something needs attention, and taking ownership of the details that make an excellent practice feel effortless to the patient.
WHAT YOU SHOULD ALREADY KNOW
We're happy to invest in developing the right person, but this is not an entry-level position. You should come to City Dental Studio with a strong dental assisting foundation and be comfortable independently performing the fundamentals of your role. You should already be able to confidently: Assist chairside for general and restorative dentistry Assist with crowns, bridges, composites, and common operative procedures Take consistent, diagnostic-quality digital radiographs Understand dental terminology, procedures, and basic treatment sequencing Properly prepare an operatory for common procedures Anticipate commonly needed instruments and materials Turn over treatment rooms efficiently and thoroughly Follow proper sterilization and infection-control protocols Maintain instrument flow throughout the clinical day Keep operatories stocked, organized, and treatment-ready Take intraoral and extraoral clinical photographs Communicate confidently and professionally with patients Provide appropriate postoperative instructions when directed Navigate a busy clinical schedule and prepare proactively for upcoming patients Work alongside a doctor without requiring constant instruction or supervision Previous dental assisting experience is required. Applicants must hold the appropriate Florida credentials required to perform the duties of the position, including dental radiography as applicable. Expanded Functions Dental Assistant credentials are strongly preferred.
EXPERIENCE THAT WILL SET YOU APART
We're particularly interested in candidates who bring experience with: Cosmetic dentistry Implant dentistry and implant surgery Surgical assisting Digital dentistry iTero or other intraoral scanners Invisalign Temporary crown fabrication Clinical photography Open Dental Laboratory case coordination Implant restorative procedures Advanced restorative workflows You don't need to check every box. If you have an excellent foundation, the right mindset, and the ability to learn quickly, we can teach you more.
HOW WE WORK
Skill gets you through the door. How you work determines how far you can go here. The people who thrive at City Dental Studio tend to be people who naturally take ownership. They don't walk past something that needs attention because somebody else technically owns it. They don't wait until the doctor asks for an instrument to begin thinking about what comes next. They don't need repeated reminders to maintain their responsibilities. They care about the details. They ask questions when they don't know something. They accept feedback, implement it, and become better because of it. They help their teammates. They communicate. They solve problems. And they understand that excellence is usually the result of doing hundreds of small things exceptionally well.
WHAT EXCELLENCE LOOKS LIKE HERE
Our strongest team members: Come prepared and ready to contribute Review the schedule and think ahead Anticipate needs instead of constantly reacting Move with purpose while maintaining accuracy Create warm, polished patient interactions Keep clinical spaces exceptionally clean and organized Take responsibility for their area without needing to be managed minute-by-minute Communicate problems before they become emergencies Notice when something is running low and address it Help teammates when their own responsibilities are complete Receive feedback professionally Correct mistakes instead of defending them Follow established systems consistently Look for solutions Take genuine pride in the success of the entire practice We don't expect perfection. We do expect ownership.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US
High expectations should go both ways. If we ask our team to bring their best, we believe the practice has a responsibility to do the same.
You can expect:
Competitive compensation based off experience and what is truly known Clear expectations Direct and respectful feedback Training and continued development Exposure to advanced dentistry and technology Opportunities to expand your clinical skill set Recognition for strong performance Increasing responsibility for people who earn it Opportunity for professional and compensation growth A modern environment where your contribution matters We want talented people to have a reason to build their careers here.
COMPENSATION & GROWTH
$20-$33/hour, based on experience, clinical ability, credentials, and demonstrated performance. Candidates with significant cosmetic, surgical, implant, digital dentistry, or leadership experience may be considered above the posted range if demonstrated during trail period. We intentionally want to attract strong performers and believe they should be compensated accordingly. Your starting rate does not define your future here. As your skills, independence, responsibility, and contribution to the practice grow, there is an opportunity for your career and compensation to grow with them.
