Job Description

Premier, patient-centered pediatric dental practice in beautiful Hollywood in search of a full time pediatric dental assistant! We are looking for an outstanding pediatric dental assistant who will make the dentist's office efficient and pleasant for patients, always ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service. Candidates should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct and indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible. Responsibilities Welcome patients into the dental office Prepare patients for treatments or checkups, always ensuring their comfort Taking of extra-oral and intra-oral radiographs Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials as needed for the appropriate procedures Sterilize instruments according to regulations Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry Undertake lab tasks as instructed Submit and keep track of lab cases Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Keep the dental rooms clean and well-stocked Schedule appointments Maintain accurate patient records Skills Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a pediatric dental assistant (or equivalent relevant experience) Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus Good computer skills- Knowledge of Dental Software is a plus Excellent communication and people skills Bilingual; English-Spanish is preferred High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA) Additional Requirements Attention to detail Coachable/ willingness to learn Adaptable Team player Reliable Self-driven Efficient Well-organized Knowledgeable in and committed to delivering superb customer service.
