Job Description

Sage Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you'll support dentists during procedures, prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, take X-rays, and assist with patient records and scheduling. You'll help educate patients on oral hygiene and ensure a comfortable, positive visit. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and dental instruments for a wide range of dental procedures Provide efficient chairside assistance to dentists using four-handed dentistry techniques Take, process, and mount digital dental radiographs in accordance with safety protocols Ensure strict infection control through proper sterilization of instruments and operatory surfaces Welcome, seat, and prepare patients while explaining procedures and answering basic questions Assist with dental charting, documentation, and maintenance of accurate electronic health records Take impressions, photographs, and assist with preliminary laboratory tasks as permitted by regulations Maintain inventory of dental supplies and materials, and support ordering and stocking processes Support front office operations including scheduling, confirmations, and basic insurance coordination Promote a calm, patient-focused environment and support the clinical team through active teamwork and communication Required Skills Chairside assisting Four-handed dentistry Dental radiography (digital X-rays) Infection control and sterilization Instrument tray setup and breakdown Dental charting (electronic health records) Taking dental impressions and intraoral photos Patient preparation and education Sterilization equipment operation (autoclave) Basic dental terminology and anatomy Appointment scheduling and coordination Insurance and billing support Use of dental practice management software CPR/BLS skills Radiology safety and protection
