The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. In this position, we are looking for someone who is willing to be cross trained as assistant and front desk. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, adhering to infection control protocols. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) 4 Handed Dentistry Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently as needed. Support pediatric dentistry procedures with knowledge of child behavior management techniques. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high standards of care are met. Assist front desk when needed to schedule appointments, answer calls and help where needed. Requirements Knowledge of anatomy and dental terminology is essential for effective communication. Understanding of infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Experience with medical imaging techniques is advantageous. Previous experience in dental assisting is highly desirable, particularly in prosthodontics or similar fields. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality is required.
